Lorene (Vanover) Embert

Lorene Bernice Embert, age 81, of Newark, Delaware, passed away at her home on September 22, 2022.

Lorene was born, raised, and educated in her hometown on Mountain City, Tennessee. While she worked for a time as a waitress at Peggy’s Truck Stop Rt. 40, she spent most of her life working to raise her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Delia and Winston Vanover, her husband, Rodney N. Embert, and her son-in-law, Michael Pinto.

Lorene is survived by her daughters: Patsy Pinto of Newark, Delaware and Rebecca Smith (Donnie) of Henderson, Maryland; her grandchildren: Eban, Ashley, Anthony, Allysia, and Alexander; her great grandchildren:  Clair, Bryant, Rodney, Mia, Ryleigh, Samuel, Lillian, and Ellia; and her siblings: Vedie, Lois, Ruth, Ferry, Ralph, Robert, and Ruby.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at 1:00 pm at Bethel Cemetery in Chesapeake City, Maryland.
