Loretta Peffley went to be with the Lord on August 18, 2024, at the age of 92 years.
Loretta was born in Philadelphia in 1932 and grew up in the Kensington area of Philadelphia. She and her siblings moved to Atlantic City when their mother passed away. Loretta was 14 at the time. Loretta was married to Floyd Peffley and they had two children. Loretta worked various customer service jobs throughout her life until she retired in her late adulthood.
Loretta dedicated her love, time and energy to her children and grandchildren. She was everyone’s biggest cheerleader who never missed a game or event. You could always count on her to be in the audience (30-45 minutes early!). She always offered a listening ear and advice, regardless of whether you asked for it.
She was generous with her family and friends, always taking care of those around her out of the kindness of her heart. She enjoyed making her famous fudge and cheesecake to share with friends and family around the holidays. She was known for her quick-witted responses, humor, and her irreverent social media commentary.
Loretta is survived by her daughter, Susan June (Mike), her son Jim Peffley (Margaret), eight grandchildren (Mike, Chelsea, Sarah, Matt, Hannah, Henry, Davis, Evan) and seven great-grandchildren. This world will not be the same without her in it. She will be greatly missed.
According to her wishes, services for Loretta will be private.
