Margaret Majors Obituary

Margaret "Peggy" Majors (Kelly), age 63, of Bear, Delaware, passed away peacefully on July 20, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

Peggy graduated from John Dickinson High School in 1981 before beginning a successful career as a Telecommunications Field Engineer in the banking industry. She was dedicated to her work, took pride in what she did, and built many lasting relationships throughout her career.

While Peggy was committed to her profession, her greatest joy was always her family. As her children were growing up, she devoted countless hours volunteering at their schools, always happy to lend a helping hand and support their education. She treasured every opportunity to spend time with her loved ones and especially looked forward to family summer vacations, where many of her family's favorite memories were made. In her quieter moments, Peggy enjoyed relaxing with a good book.

Peggy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Kevin Majors; her father, Charles Kelly; stepmother, Beverly Kelly; stepfather, Mervin Keefer; and sister, Tricia Kelly.

She is survived by her mother, Regina Keefer; her children: Kevin King of Bear, DE, James King and husband Jeremy of West Grove, PA, and Christopher King and wife Lauren of Newark, DE; grandchildren: Julie, Kyle, Natalie, Lauren, Kody, and Kaylee; siblings: Betty and husband Jimmy, Kevin, Chuck and wife Peg, and Jeff and wife Liz; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 29, 2026 from 10:30-11:30 am at Beeson Funeral Home, 2053 Pulaski Highway, Newark, DE 19702. A memorial service will follow at 11:30 am at Beeson Funeral Home. Interment will be at Gracelawn Memorial Park, New Castle, DE.

Peggy will be remembered for her caring heart, her unwavering love for her family, and the many memories she created with those she loved. Whether volunteering at her children's schools, enjoying a summer vacation with family, or simply spending a quiet afternoon with a good book, she found happiness in life's simple moments. Though she will be deeply missed, her love, kindness, and the memories she leaves behind will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
