Mary Kissinger Obituary

Mary Ann Kissinger (Reynolds), age 75 of Bear passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on July 26, 2021. Born in Pence Springs WV, Mary Ann was the daughter of Norman and Ruth Reynolds, who have predeceased her.

Mary Ann is survived by her husband and love of her life, Eugene Kissinger, her children Sheila Clark (Michael) and Rodger Smith (Joni); and her beloved grandson Lee Smith; her step-children Jeananne Lockey (Jeff), Jennifer Selvaggi (Mark), Jaime Bush (Derrick) and Michael Kissinger (Megan) and her step-grandchildren Taylour Kissinger, Marissa Kissinger, Brett Lockey, Nicole Lockey, Samuel Kissinger and William Kissinger. She is also survived by her sister Bonnie Hollett and her brothers Drew Reynolds (Rose Mary) and Gary Reynolds (Darlene).

Mary Ann was a graduate of Newark High School and was employed by Avon and also worked as an office manager for Shop-Rite and several oral surgeons. Mary Ann enjoyed sitting by the pool, cooking large Sunday dinners, traveling with Gene to Myrtle Beach and Las Vegas and seeing concerts, even seeing Celine Dion 5 times. But mostly she loved any time spent with her family and friends, especially her best friends Eleanor Logan and Barbara Landis, and her grandson Lee of whom she was so proud.

The family would like to thank the staff of Christiana Care Hospital, especially the staff on 6E for their compassion and kindness during Mary Ann’s illness.

Friends and family are invited to attend a visitation at Beeson Funeral Home, 2053 Pulaski Highway, Newark, DE 19702 on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 from 9:00 am – 10:30 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at Holy Angels Church, 82 Possum Park Road, Newark, DE 19711 at 12:00 pm. Burial will follow at All Saints Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests random acts of kindness in Mary Ann’s name.
