Mary H. Milroy

Mary H. Milroy passed away unexpectedly on April 13, 2021. She was a wonderful person who was a positive influence on so many family and friends. She would drop everything to help someone in need. She loved to travel the country and Europe. She was an impressive cook who loved to entertain with grace and great food, especially desserts. For years her annual Christmas Cookie events were spectacular, topped only by the fun and food at beach week.

Mary was a social worker and worked with many different organizations for family care, adoptions, foster care, sexual abuse, chemical dependency and gambling. She volunteered on the Board of Directors for several organizations like Child Advocacy, Medical Board, Social Work Boards and Brandywine Counseling. She also volunteered with bird care and as a docent for a history exhibit.

She is survived by her husband of forty-four years John, and many siblings and their families. “Nana” will be missed by all.

A visitation will be held at Beeson Funeral Home, 2053 Pulaski Highway, Newark, Delaware on Tuesday April 27, 2021 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. All attending will be required to wear a face mask and practice social distancing to maintain compliance with State COVID-19 Regulations.  Admittance will be regulated.
