Maureen (Vail) Giannettino

Maureen Giannettino (nee Vail), age 78, of Newark, DE and formerly of Centereach, NY, passed away on January 14, 2023 surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Queens, NY in 1944 to parents Albert and Mary (Halpin) Vail, Maureen was the fourth of nine children. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Tony, five loving sisters, six nieces and nephews, and 9 grand nieces and nephews.

Maureen was a beacon of light to all who knew her. She will always be remembered for her loving sweet personality and kind, generous ways.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, January 22, 2023 from 4-6 pm at Beeson Funeral Home, 2053 Pulaski Highway, Newark, DE 19702. A visitation will also be held on Monday, January 23, 2023 from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm at Holy Family Catholic Church, 15 Gender Rd., Newark, DE 19713. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12:00 pm. Burial will be private at a later date.
