Michael P. Tozzo, age 83, of Barnegat, New Jersey, formerly of Pattenburg, New Jersey, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving daughters. Michael was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 56 years, Barbara Tozzo, and his cherished son, Michael Jason Tozzo.
Michael proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, where he formed lifelong bonds with fellow servicemen—friendships that would endure through the decades. After returning home, he embarked on a distinguished career at New York Life Insurance Company, where he worked for 45 years, ultimately retiring as Executive Vice President of Data Operations. His time at New York Life was more than a job—it was a second family. The colleagues he worked alongside became treasured friends who remained close throughout his life.
He is survived by his daughters, Melissa Tabor (Gary) and Stephanie Conover (Brandon), and his beloved grandchildren: Aiden (Madden), Kenzie, and Eliza. He was deeply proud of his family and found his greatest joy in their love and accomplishments.
Michael will be remembered for his quiet strength, sense of humor, unwavering loyalty, and generous heart. His legacy is one of service, connection, and deep devotion to those he held dear.
A private memorial will be held in accordance with the family’s wishes.
