Norma J. Renz

Norma Renz passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at her residence in Abby Manor, Elkton, Maryland. 

Norma was born July 19, 1932, in Baltimore, Maryland.  She came to the Wilmington area in the early 1950s, having previously lived in Jefferson, North Carolina, Sterling, Michigan and Winchester, Virginia.

Norma was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Renz, her parents, Eugene and Anna Lyle, and her two brothers, Preston and Bobbie Lyle.

She is survived by her son, Leonard (Linda) Shatley; three daughters, Diane (Danny) Kilpatrick, Debbie (Rick) Dunion, Donna (Ronnie) Bennett; seven grandchildren, Andrew Shatley, Matt Shatley, Danny Shatley, Bryan (Paula) Conlin, Rob (Amanda) Dunion, Candice Dunion, Zachary Bennett; two step grandchildren, Cami (Todd) Eckert, Ronald Bennett; three great grandchildren, Ryan Dunion, Jake Conlin and Gianna Conlin.

Norma and Bob loved boating on the Chesapeake Bay with family and friends on their beloved “Norma J”.  In addition to spending time with her grandchildren, Norma loved to sew and crochet and visit with her many friends. Her Christian faith was a major part of her life.

Norma will be interred next to her husband Bob in Gracelawn Memorial Park, New Castle, Delaware.  Services will be private.
