Patricia A. (Kelly) Smith

Patricia A. Smith, age 83, of Middletown, DE, passed away on Saturday, November 26, 2022 in Wilmington, DE.

The daughter of the late James Kelly and Mary Sheain (Edmondson), Pat was born in Philadelphia, PA in 1939. She graduated from West Catholic High School in Philadelphia before she and her family moved to Delaware in 1972.

Pat had a long career with Happy Harry’s Corp., working her way up from a cashier to Assistant Vice President of Jewelry and Gifts at the time of her retirement. She was very proud of her accomplishments and had many wonderful memories while working there. Pat loved her Happy Harry’s family.

Pat was an avid Philadelphia Phillies fan who never missed a game. She also enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Joseph A. “Smitty” Smith.

Pat is survived by her three children: Michal Smith (Joanne), Gary Smith (Caroline), and Sandy Klerlein (Butch); her 8 grandchildren; and her 9 great grandchildren.

Services for Pat will be held privately.
