Patricia A. Straub (MacDonald), age 80, of Bear, DE passed away peacefully on November 4, 2022.

She was born June, 1942 in Camden, NJ, the daughter of Norman and Florence MacDonald.  She was a proud graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School.  Upon graduation Pat worked for various industries as a bookkeeper and office administrator, including 15 years Acme Markets Corporation.  Her most honorable role was being a loving and devoted Wife, Mom and Grammy.

Pat lived a full blessed life.  She was married to her childhood sweetheart for over 51 years and raised a beautiful family.  She had many lifelong friendships that she cherished.  She enjoyed traveling, doing crafts and playing cards, cheering on the Phillies, participating and volunteering with many organizations and always welcoming everyone and entertaining in her home.  Her famous motto was “There is always room for one more”

Pat is survived by her three children, Richard Straub (Bonnie), Trisha Brobst (David) and James Straub (Cathy), seven grandchildren, Nicholas, Calvin, Breanna, Connor, Matthew, Brooklyn and Nathan, her beloved dog, Pooh Bear, fur grandpups, ZuZu, Bo, Rhysie and Echo, and many many family and friends.

She is predeceased by her husband James A. Straub, her parents Norman and Florence MacDonald, her brothers Norman and Daniel MacDonald, and her daughter-in-law Denise Straub.

A viewing will be held at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 345 Bear-Christiana Road, Bear, DE 19701 on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 from 10:00am until 11:00am, where a Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00am.  A committal service will follow in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear, DE 19701.
