Patricia Wright Obituary

On June 12, 2026, Patricia “Patty” Anne Wright, 67, of Newark, Delaware, was called home to be with the Lord. She was born on May 8, 1959, in Wilmington, Delaware, to the late Austin F. Bolden and Kathryn Owens. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Austin F. Bolden Jr.

Patty was a loving wife, devoted mother, proud grandmother and great-grandmother, cherished sister and faithful friend. She treasured every moment spent with her family and friends and will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and the unconditional love she shared with everyone who knew her. Her warm spirit, caring heart, and unwavering dedication to those she loved left a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Family gatherings were especially meaningful to Patty. Her famous potato salad was a staple at every holiday, cookout, and family celebration. She loved bringing everyone together around the table, whether sharing a meal, laughter, or a spirited game of LCR. Her great-grandchildren affectionately knew her as “Mommom Dunkin,” a nickname that brought her great joy and reflected the special bond she shared with each of them.

She is survived by her husband of fifty years, Richard “Rick” Wright, Sr. her children, Jennifer Stabley (Rich) and Richard Wright, Jr. (Heather); her six grandchildren, Emily (Mike), Zachary (Emily), Meghan, Callie, Wyatt, and Weston; and her four great-grandchildren, Grant, Brynn, Savannah, and Mason. She is also survived by her sisters, Margaret, Tracy, and Lisa (Derek), as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

A devoted Christian, Patty’s relationship with the Lord was the foundation of her life. Her unwavering faith sustained her throughout every season and inspired those around her. She shared God’s love through her words, actions, and servant’s heart, always offering encouragement, compassion, and support to those in need.

While her passing leaves an immeasurable void, her family finds comfort in knowing she has been welcomed into eternal peace, reunited with loved ones who have gone before her, and is now rejoicing in the presence of her Savior.
