Ralph Curtis McCall, age 81, of New Castle, DE, passed away at home Saturday April 4, 2026.

Ralph worked at Chrysler on the assembly line for 30+ years before retiring.  Following retirement, he began his own painting company, R.C.M. Painting, and then went on to work for Regal Painting for several years.  

Ralph had a love of classic country music with Merle Haggard being one of his favorites. His love of music continued with the 50s, doo-wop, and Elvis Presley.  He was an avid Phillies fan and never missed watching a game.  Ralph also enjoyed going to the casino with family and friends to play the slots. He made many friends, on Saturday nights, while dancing the night away at Millington VFW in MD.

He was preceded in death by his mother: Lillian “Maggie” McCall; father: Stanley McCall; son: Ralph “Ralphie” McCall Jr.; sisters: Ethel “Eppy” Taylor, Marsha “Mott” McCall, Charlotte Muth, Loreena McCall; and brothers-in-law: George “Tailpipe” Taylor and Joe Riley.

Ralph is survived by his caring wife: Tina McCall; son: Christopher McCall; daughter: Mandi Bockman (John); brother: Stanley “Billy” McCall (Sue); sisters: Doris Betts (Ron), Sharon “Sherry” Riley, Katherine “Cassie” Dobies, Patrica “Patsy” Neall, and Arlene Corrigan; grandchildren: Chelsea, Haley, Brendalyn, Jacob, and Lillian; great-grandchildren: Kaidyn and Avella; and his beloved cat: Trudy.

A visitation will be held on Friday, April 17, 2026 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at Beeson Funeral Home, 2053 Pulaski Hwy, Newark, DE 19702. A celebration of his life will begin at 12:00 pm at Beeson Funeral Home. Interment will be private.
