Two days after graduating high school Rex proudly joined the United States Navy serving active duty during the Vietnam War. Rex graduated from Salem Community College with a degree in math. He was a loyal supporter of the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Philadelphia Phillies, his greatest joy came from the love he shared with his family and the loyal companionship of his pets.

Rex was preceded in death by his parents, Roy Lewis and Ellen Mary Glaspey, and his brother Robert Glaspey.
He leaves behind his devoted wife of 37 years, Kay Ann, who will cherish his memory always. He is also survived by his sister: Mary Ann Conover, his brother: Roy Lewis Glaspey Jr., his aunt Gertrude, many cousins, nieces and nephews and his faithful beagle, Bunny.
