Robert David Blackard

Robert David Blackard, Sr., age 80, of Newark, DE, passed away on Sunday, December 3, 2023 at his home.

Robert attended Claymont High School followed by the University of Delaware. He went on to work in the Film Department and the Photo Products Department at DuPont. He also worked at Autotote and Sears Appliance. Robert was a member and past master of the Solomon Lodge of the Newark Masons and was a 32 degree member of the Scottish Rite.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years: Margo; his sons: Robert Jr. (Lily) of Austin, TX and Kirk J. of Newark, DE; grandchildren: Robert III, Keith, Matthew, Melissa, and Wee Vic; great-grandchildren: Ashlyn, Lincoln, Lauren, and Grayson; and siblings: Ronald and Debby.

Services for Robert will be private.
