Robert W. Brown

Robert W. Brown, age 95, of Newark, DE and formerly of Elkton, MD, passed away on Thursday, September 5, 2024 in Newark, DE.

Robert worked for General Motors Corporation until his retirement in 1991 after 40 years of dedicated service. He was an avid golfer with the General Motors Corporation, a past time which he continued after his retirement.

Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy M. Brown, his son, Cecil W. Wright, his sister, Louis Hamilton, and his brother, Earl Brown.

He is survived by his son, Thomas Ward; daughter, Cynthia Shaub (Rob); grandchildren: Amie Kortas, Gina Ward, Thomas Ward, Jr., Crystal Ward, Jason Ward, Robert W. Shaub, and Jordyn Ward; great granddaughter, Sergeant Emily A. Husley; sister, Joan Martin; and many other great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

A graveside service will take place on Thursday, September 26, 2024 at 2:00 pm at the Delaware Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Rd., Bear, DE 19701.
