Robert L. “Bob” Rash, 69, passed away on October 15, 2021. He was born in Wilmington, Delaware and was a life-long resident of Newark, graduating from Christiana High School in 1970 and later becoming a successful business owner. In 1972 he married his wife Nancy and they had one son, Robert.
Bob is predeceased in life by his parents, Lee and Margaret Rash.
Bob is survived by his wife of nearly 50 years, Nancy, son and wife, Rob and Danielle, and three granddaughters, Madelaine, Mackenzie and Molly. In addition, Bob is survived by his brothers, Andy (Cheryl), Mike (Kris), John and Jim.
Bob was proud of his family. He looked forward to family gatherings with his wife, son and his family. He and Nancy enjoyed experiencing new places together. Bob loved watching the Eagles play football and his granddaughters play soccer. Bob was an avid golfer and enjoyed afternoon lunches with his many friends in the area.
Bob was the proud business owner of Newark Fence for 40 years before passing the business to his son. As a business owner, Bob made several connections and acquaintances with community members while providing outstanding service and quality in the fence industry.
A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at St. Margaret of Scotland Catholic Church on Friday, October 29, 2021 at 11:00am, with visitation one hour prior. Burial will be private.
