With great sadness we announce the passing of Sara Ann Parker, 42, of Bear, Delaware on August 28, 2021. She was born in Wilmington, Delaware to Richard and Helen Parker in 1979.


As a child, Sara had a vibrant personality. She loved to play outside, swim and eat popsicles on hot days, cook, and spend time with her cousins. After high school, Sara went on to waitress for many years where she made several lifelong friends. Her most important part of life was the role that gave her much pride and joy, to be a mother to her son Richie. Her love for him is eternal.


Sara was predeceased by her father, Richard N. Parker and her nephew Marcos Lobo. She is survived by her mother, Helen Parker, son Richard Parker-Soper, sisters, Lisa Guerrieri (Jimmy), Debra Parker and Genevieve Parker, five nephews and four nieces who she loved dearly.


A funeral service will be held at 6:00 pm on Tuesday September 7, 2021 at Beeson Funeral Home, 2053 Pulaski Highway, Newark where family and friends may visit from 5:00-6:00 pm.  Her burial will be private.


In lieu of flowers, the family suggests random acts of kindness in Sara’s name.
