Stephen F. Rudick

Stephen F. Rudick, 68, of Bear, DE, died of an illness March 2, 2021. He was the husband of Patricia (Foster) Rudick for 47 years.

Mr. Rudick was born in Philadelphia to the late Ann (McKenna) and Walter Rudick. He graduated from Father Judge High School in Philadelphia in 1970 and attended Villanova and Holy Family universities.

He retired in 2018 after a career selling industrial equipment for various companies, most recently Kaeser Compressors.

Mr. Rudick was active in Delaware high school and youth soccer for many years, serving as a referee, an instructor and assessor of referees, and a Delaware Interscholastic Athletic Association soccer committee member.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons and their spouses, Craig and Melissa Rudick of Lexington, KY, and Kevin and Samantha Rudick of North East, MD; a daughter, Lauren Rudick of Bear; a sister and brother-in-law, Noreen and Ronald Kaplan of Pennsauken, NJ; a brother and sister-in-law, Andrew and Donna Rudick of Fleetwood, PA; four granddaughters; and nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at noon Wednesday, March 10, 2021, at Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 N. DuPont Highway, New Castle, DE.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Helen F. Graham Cancer Center, 4701 Ogletown Stanton Rd., Suite 213, Newark, DE 19713.
