Steven Boone

A life so beautifully lived, deserves to be beautifully remembered. It is with great sadness the family of Steven Lee Boone announce his passing on December 19, 2022 at the age of 32. Steve worked as a hardwood floor mechanic for 15 years with Donald G. Varnes and Sons. He loved the outdoors and his home on Becks Pond. Steve was an avid hunter, fisherman, and loved shooting pool. Some of Steve’s favorite hobbies also included crabbing, dominating in cornhole, four-wheeling, riding his street bike, gardening, bee-keeping, raising chickens and ducks, making hot sauce and homemade wine, constructing his deer blind, and playing video games. Steve loved spending time with his wife and building their beautiful life together. He also thoroughly enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, and taking trips to West Virginia.

Steve is survived by his loving wife and best friend Amber Boone and his dog Finn; his parents John and Roxanne Boone; his brothers John Boone (Kim), Jamie Boone, Mike Boone (Sara); his nieces Mikayla, Olivia, and Layla; and his nephews Landon and Jayce.

Steve had an amazing and one-of-a-kind personality; always bringing a smile to everyone’s face and trying to make everyone laugh. He was a light to everyone who knew him and will be dearly missed by all of his family and friends.

A visitation will be held on Friday January 6, 2022 from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm at Beeson Funeral Home, 2053 Pulaski Hwy., Newark, DE 19702. A memorial service will follow at 12:00 pm at Beeson Funeral Home..
