Timothy R. Weikel

Timothy R. Weikel, age 55, of Wilmington, DE, passed away on July 13, 2023, surrounded by loved ones after a courageous battle with brain cancer.

Tim was a 1987 graduate of Glasgow High School. After graduation, he began his work life as a carpenter until he was hired on at AZZ Enclosures as an electrical technician. Tim enjoyed classic car shows, boating, drag racing, and motorcycles. He loved going to Ocean City with his wife, Paula, spending time with his kids and grandkids and he adored his husky, Shiloh.

He is preceded in death by his parents, James J. and Linda Weikel.

Tim is survived by his wife: Paula Phipps Weikel; children: Kirstyn Weikel (Steven), Timothy Weikel, Samantha Adair (Zachary), and James Adair; grandchildren: Travis, Bryleigh, and Jameson; brothers: James Weikel, III (Mary Ellen), Thomas Weikel, and Mark Weikel; and many nieces.

Tim truly showed what resilience and perseverance looked like. Just because he is no longer here, does not mean he lost his fight. He was strong and determined.

A viewing will be held on Monday, July 24, 2023 from 10-11:00 am at Beeson Funeral Home, 2053 Pulaski Highway, Newark, DE 19702. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 am at Beeson Funeral Home. Interment will be private at a later date.
