Todd Anthony August

Todd Anthony August, 60, of Newark, DE, passed away unexpectedly on August 29, 2022.

If there was ever a book or movie about how to be a GREAT person, it would be titled “Todd August”.  He was a kind, gentle, caring and gracious person that would do anything for anyone.  He had an infectious laugh and smile that gave comfort to all who knew him.  He was never afraid to tackle anything! MacGyver had nothing on Todd!  He never did anything just well….he did it perfectly!

Todd meant so much to all those he knew!  He loved boating, riding his Harley, creating inventions or just spending time at home with family whipping up his favorite meals. He prided himself on creating a beautiful home and possessed so many mechanical and carpentry skills with impeccable attention to detail. He was humble, always the rock of stability. Todd had an amazing talent for creative engineering, always masterminding a new invention.  He was dedicated, caring, eternally optimistic, beautiful inside and out, and never met a challenge he couldn’t handle. He lived life to the fullest and made the world a better place.  He is now making heaven a better place.  He will be missed by his family and friends more than anyone could imagine.  Rest in peace Todd until the day we meet again.  We love you and miss you more than life!

Todd is preceded in death by his sister Nicole Hudson.

He is survived by his longtime, loving partner of fourteen years, Tammy Malone; three stepchildren:  Zachary, Sydney and Shelby; parents, Anthony and Barbara August; sister, Rene’ (Steve) Stimmel and their children Taylor, Zachary (Josie); and longtime partner of Nicole’s, Marc as well as her children, Kelsey and Brandon Hudson. 

The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to all the friends and co-workers at JLL, F & S Boat Works, his best friend Carl Meyer as well as the many boat and marine friends that gave Todd so much joy, laughs, and happiness over the years. You all meant so very much to him.

A graveside service will be help on Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at 11:00 am at Cathedral Cemetery, 2400 Lancaster Ave, Wilmington, DE 19805.
