Vance Brooke Palmer

Vance Brooke Palmer, Sr., passed away on May 8, 2018 at 70 years of age.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Deborah A. Palmer of New Castle, son Vance Brooke Palmer II, mother Delores Palmer, father Fred Palmer, brother Curt Palmer and sister-in-law Karen Palmer. Vance is already missed by his four dogs, Molly, Kyi, Lincoln and Chance when Deb says "Daddy".

He was predeceased by brother Bruce Palmer.

Vance worked for the News Journal for 40 years in the reel room which is part of the press room and became foreman/supervisor. He loved motorcycles, golf, boating, holding a conversation and was kind to everyone.

A memorial service will be held on Friday May 18, 2018 at 6:00 pm at Beeson Funeral Home, 2053 Pulaski Highway where friends may call beginning at 5:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions would be appreciated to the Delaware Humane Association, 701 A Street, Wilmington, DE 19801.
