Virginia “Ginger” Dixon Farrow, age 86, passed away peacefully on September 18, 2025, with her family standing by her side.
Ginger lived a life full of love, dedication, and family. She was the proud owner of Gin-Way Kennels, established in 1973, and later founded Finders Keepers in 1988. She was also an active member of the William Penn Alumni Association, where she was honored in 2011.
She was known for her many passions. A lifelong Philadelphia sports fan, she cheered faithfully for the Phillies, Eagles, and Flyers. She loved showing dogs, decorating with her cherished Christmas ornaments, and filling each season with festive films and family traditions. Ginger was especially proud of decorating the fence for every holiday, a joy shared with neighbors and loved ones alike. Above all, she never missed her children’s or grandchildren’s sporting events, always their biggest supporter.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Anna Garrett; her husband, Thomas D. Farrow; her son, James T. Mansfield; and her grandson, Jason Mansfield.
She is survived by her children: Debbie Genery; John Mansfield and his wife Chris; Debbie Cornette and her husband Paul; Melissa MacNeill and her husband Rich; Thomas D. Farrow II; Timothy Farrow; and Christopher “Kit” Farrow.
Her memory will be carried on by her beloved grandchildren: Chrissy, Jack, Samantha, Garrett, Tommy III, Gabe, Rich, and Krystina, along with several great-grandchildren who brought her endless joy.
Ginger’s greatest legacy is her devotion to family and the love she shared so freely. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 1, 2025 from 10-11:00 am at Beeson Funeral Home, 2053 Pulaski Highway, Newark, DE 19702, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 am at Beeson Funeral Home. Burial will be private.
