William David Aldridge

William David Aldridge, age 80, of Newark, DE formerly of Jeffersonville, Indiana died January 30, 2024 at the Christiana Hospital. 

Mr. Aldridge started working at an early age as a Lineman Apprentice, and went on to retire as a Masters Lineman for the city of Newark, DE.  He enjoyed buildings and flying R/C aircraft, and he served as President of his R/C club.  He also enjoyed motorcycles.

Mr. Aldridge was predeceased by his wife, Sylvia Ann Aldridge, his mother, Aline Bowers and his father, William Cecil Aldridge.

He is survived by his daughter, Donna; his sons, David Aldridge and Frank Aldridge; his brothers, Leroy Bowers; his sister, Wilma Edwards; and his 7 grandchildren, Candace, David, Frank, William, Ashley, Jacob and Destiny.

A viewing will be held at the Beeson Funeral Home, 2053 Pulaski Highway, Newark, DE 19702 on Thursday, February 8, 2024 from 10:00am until 11:00am, where a funeral service will begin at 11:00am.  Burial will follow in Gracelawn Memorial Park, New Castle, DE.
