William E. “Bill” Rolph, Jr. passed away peacefully at his home in Wilmington, DE on October 15, 2023, surrounded by love from both family and friends.
Bornin 1947, in Baltimore, MD, William was predeceased by his parents, William E. Rolph, Sr. and Virginia Morris; his brother, Donald Brittingham and his wife, Helen Louise Walker. He is survived by their children, Jonathan and Meghann, as well as his granddaughter, Jadla Redd. William is also survived by several distant relatives in North Carolina and Ohio.
Called “Pop” by many, Bill loved nature, as he was a landscaper and designer for many years. He was able to own his own fountain business calling it “The Fountain Guy.” William was very active in developing and managing production of community theater plays for years, spending many hours with his wife at the Wilmington Drama League in the 1980’s and 90’s. He loved to fish and vacationed at Cape Henlopen, DE and Ocean City, MD every summer. He was also lucky enough to be able to enjoy the Delaware Bay Area over the last 5 years with his daughter, Meghann, and many of his closest friends.
A memorial service followed by a celebration of life is scheduled for November 12, 2023 at 2pm at William’s home.
