Fred Eugene Sheets

Fred Eugene Sheets, age 83, of Bear, DE passed away on Thursday, November 2, 2017 surrounded by his loving family.
He was a hard-working man who retired after 38 years from General Motors in 1993. Fred loved working on cars and during his free time was an avid sports fan.
Fred loved watching football at all levels and played during High School. He spent most of his free time coaching or umpiring all sports his children played. He enjoyed anything that involved spending time with his family.
His kind generous heart was displayed by the way he opened his home to others less fortunate as a foster parent to many.
Fred was predeceased by his two brothers Kenneth and Douglas Sheets.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years Shirley Sheets, son Eric (Rexie) and daughter Kimberley Hedinger, four grandsons Branden Sheets, Jesse Sheets, Zach Hedinger, Nathan Sheets, and one grand-daughter Jenee Meadows, and two great grand-children Reggie Meadows and Brayden Center. He is also survived by his brother Jack Sheets.
A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at 7 PM at Beeson Funeral Home, 2053 Pulaski Highway, Newark, DE 19720. The Visitation will begin at 5 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
