Vance F. Bowers
May 24, 2017Dear Kip, sorry to hear about your loss. All our prayers are with you in this difficult time. Please convey our condolences to your family.
Vance: What a wonderful son-in-law you have been. You fit in all that my daughter Kip wanted in life, and got.
You will always be remembered.
Sincerely,
Your mother-in-law, Ruby Kline
Rest in Paradise Frankie
Hours before your passage into the next life, to be with your parents, your brother and your beloved sister Judy, I was fortunate enough to have driven 3.5 hours from Hackensack, N.J., to make it to your house in time to sit with you at your bedside. Standing vigil was my big sister Kip, your loyal wife. Two extremely dedicated, caring nurses were just changing guard, and I was glad you were surrounded by so much love and care.
During the long period of your health's ups and downs, your tightknit extended family -- including a throng of doting uncles, aunts, and cousins, along with niece Tracy -- stood by your side, in spirit and in person. Prayers were said; lovingly prepared meals were brought, often from far away. But, apparently, in the end, God had decided to call you home, and in the end, we must all submit to The Eternal's will. You left us with a lot of tears -- but also with a lot of joy. Everyone whose life you touched will remember you fondly. The end-of-summer shindigs you and Kippy threw in your enormous backyard were legendary. Brother-in-law, you could grill and BBQ like nobody's business, often with the amiable Willy by your side! A hard worker and gifted landscaper, you turned your property into a Garden of Eden, complete with koi ponds and flora and fauna that held all who entered spellbound. Last but not least was The Man-Cave, your pride and joy. It's there you held court, and every time I visited you and my sister Kip, I would give my sibling a quick hug and peck, then rush to join you. In your Man-Cave, we'd share stories and anecdotes (like about the time you, fearless hunter, were treed all night by a ferocious bear ... only to discover upon daybreak that "he'' was actually just a tree stump). That Man-Cave just won't be the same without you. ...As a fellow ''middle child,'' I thought of you not so much as a brother-in-law as like a brother. We were a team! And as your sister-in-law and fellow middle child, I shall miss you terribly. - Kim
I am so glad that, before your journey, you were able to be in the home that you loved so much, surrounded by loved ones. You will be in our hearts and minds always. Every time we see a coconut cake, a cherry pie, grilled food (you were always such a wonderful host), or a Herrs' product, we'll smile and think of you. We'll do our best to take good care of the koi and goldies that were so special to you. ~ Love, Klaudette & Christian
