Edward M Wilberg

Edward M Wilberg , Sr. 76 of Newark, Delaware went to be with the Lord May 27, 2016 after a long fight with cancer.

Born February 28, 1940 in NYC, son of Edward and Mary Wilberg. He resided in Westfield, NY until he joined the U.S.A.F and worked as an airplane mechanic. He retired from the DuPont Company where he was employed as a millwright.

Ed and Carol attended Fairwinds Baptist Church for many years and left to become founding members of Liberty Baptist Church. Ed loved to bowl and had belonged to many leagues over the years. His real passion was racing his 600 micro midget race car. You could find him most days and nights in the garage working on his car. Ed was very interested in politics and some weeks you might have even read one of his "Letters to the editor" articles. One of his last wishes was that he would live to the next election.

Survivors include sons: Edward Wilberg Jr, and wife Lisa ,Christopher Wilberg and Michael Wilberg. Grandchildren Mackenzie Wilberg and Jacob Records.
He was preceded in death by his wife A. Carol Wilberg and his brother Peter Wilberg.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 9th, at 11:00am at Beeson Funeral Home, 2053 Pulaski Highway, Newark, DE 19702, where a service will begin at 11:30am. Burial will follow at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
